Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • As Director Demand Planning WHS your accountability is to lead, develop and guarantee the best possible Demand plan. You own the WHS Demand Plan across all categories Originals, Football, Sportswear, Training, Running, Terrex, Speciality Sports, Basketball and Golf in Europe_ _and ensure that this plan is aligned with the overall IBP and BU targets. The Demand Plan is the basis for Purchasing and significantly influences the Inventory Management/ Stock Turn and re-order availability. Therefore, it is the foundation for reaching sales & inventory targets. _
  • You closely align with Key Stakeholders like Finance, Business Units, SCM within the inventory review process and influence buying decisions to meet our targets. _
  • In addition, you lead the Speed Team and are _accountable for the functional process, collaborating with relevant functions and identifying new opportunities across channels & markets as well as governance and compliance management for Speed Business Models_
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • BU WHS
  • Accountable for the overall BU RDP WHS to match the overall IBP and BU strategy
  • Accountable for steering & challenging your teams to ensure best possible demand plans and analyse the Rolling Demand Plan (RDP) for respective BUs.
  • Observe markets regarding changes, oppartunities and risks and take required actions in alignment with the BU
  • Accountable for the DP & SCM Purchasing alignment for the respective BUs regarding the inventory review process and as well the Demand Supply review
  • Challenge strategic initiatives and range architecture regarding efficiency, E2E SCM feasibility and profitability
  • Lead and/or consult projects and be the main POC for your business partners on strategic topics
  • Support the Franchise Management process
  • Responsible for the product allocation / guidance process across channels in close alignment with the BU, to support the franchise lifecycle management & accountable for the operational execution
  • Responsible for steering of the Rolling Demand Plan (RDP) for Sports Marketing demand
  • Support achieving the Inventory target in Europe for your area of responsibility
  • Establish and develop AA programs related to the WHS business to improve RDP accuracy.
  • Speed
  • Responsible to ensure sustainable net sales and market share growth of Responsive Business Models in Europe
  • Accountable for the functional process, collaborating with relevant functions and identifying new opportunities across channels & markets as well as governance and compliance management for Responsive Business Models
  • Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Support the BU IBP process from DP side
  • Accountable to highlight gaps between IBP and RDP and drive alignment for WHS
  • Personnel management of direct reports
  • Manage your teams in line with the Leadership framework
  • Establish a highperformance culture via the communication of clear expectations and targets
  • Evaluate the performance and competencies of your employees within the MYBEST framework
  • Introduce a feedback culture and ensure as well that the adidas values are followed throughout your team
  • Manage and develop talents within your team to develop their competencies and managing skills to grow within the DP department
  • Secure the adherence to all employee relevant adidas guidelines and all legal obligations

  • Qualified to Masters Degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • 710 years of work experience in Demand Planning or a similar field
  • 58 years management experience
  • Experience in the sporting goods industry preferred
