The studies:

Durch ein duales Master-Studium "Kommunikationsmanagement" erweitern Studierende ihre wirtschaftsbezogenen und kommunikationswissenschaftlichen Kenntnisse und qualifizieren sich so für führende Positionen. Sie verbringen bei der dualen Variante den Großteil der Studienzeit im Betrieb und werden in die betrieblichen Abläufe integriert. Das erworbene Wissen kann so unmittelbar in die Praxis übertragen und angewendet werden. Wichtige Inhalte dieses Studiengangs sind etwa die Themen "Kommunikationspsychologie", "Ideen
- und Innovationsmanagement", "Marken
- und Produktmanagement" oder "Marketing Analytics und Big Data". Ein Schwerpunkt des Studiums ist der Bereich der digitalen Kommunikation. So erfahren die Teilnehmer, wie sie die Chancen der Digitalisierung und die Möglichkeiten der datengetriebenen Kommunikationskampagnen in ihrem Betrieb einsetzen können.
Den theoretischen Rahmen bilden speziell für das Selbststudium aufbereitete Studienhefte. Parallel dazu werden moderne multimediale Vermittlungsformen, wie Online-Vorlesungen, Online-Tutorien oder Online-Übungen angeboten. Besonders anschaulich und hilfreich zur Prüfungsvorbereitung sind auch webbasierte Trainings. Ausgewählte Module sehen Präsenzphasen vor, die den Studierenden wichtiges Praxiswissen vermitteln und den Austausch mit Branchenexperten sowie Kommilitonen ermöglichen.

  • Bachelor's or comparable degree with a focus on business administration or communication management.
  • Practical experience in a company or organization related to communication.
  • Proof of 20 ECTS points from economic courses (can also be acquired via bridging courses).
  • Selfstarter with superb written and oral communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • A demonstrable track record of personally identifying, cultivating and raising significant private and public funds for programmes from governments, foundations, private institutions and individuals
  • An ability to undertake frequent travel globally.
  • Excellent knowledge of the role of media as a key component of civil society.

Responsibilities:


  • Help swiftly develop and execute fundraising plans, from public and private sources.
  • Assist in supporting all aspects of the development department, including programme development, fundraising and marketing campaigns and identifying and managing international partnership opportunities
  • Work closely with the Director of Development to enhance outreach efforts and build donor bases.
  • Manage and execute projects globally across a range of initiatives and objectives.

Qualifications/experience:

Significant progressive, and proven, experience over three to seven years in successfully developing and managing all aspects of complex fundraising/development programmes, preferably in an international organization, including:

  • Developing fundraising strategies and successfully implement them.
  • Raising funds from governments, institutions, foundations and individuals.
  • Running successful project and annual campaigns.
  • Managing highprofile events.
  • Strategic thinker and planner, able to lead and engage in planning processes and set priorities; able to think critically, objectively and analytically.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of budgeting with income and expenditure budgets.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook essential.
  • Demonstrable project management skills.
  • Adept at crafting clear and persuasive proposals, donor correspondence and other promotional and marketing materials.
  • Experience building, or supervising, the creation and use of management tools, including databases and fundraising research engines.
  • Understanding of, and demonstrable experience in, webbased marketing to engage institutional partners and donors.
  • Keen eye, and knack, for leading the development of key partnerships to enhance and raise organizational profile.
