We are looking for a
Ethics & Compliance Lead Germany who is
agile, analytical and solution-oriented to join our
Ethics & Compliance team, based in our office in
Monheim, Germany.

About the role

The Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Germany Lead will report to and collaborate with the E&C Head of Europe to embed and foster an ethical mindset and culture as well as designing, implementing and continuously improving an effective compliance program across UCB organizations.

He/she will provide expert advice to ensure appropriate development, interpretation and implementation of compliance strategies, policies, procedures, and programs for Germany.

The Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Germany Lead will also implement and secure a robust UCB German E&C program ensuring that requirements for E&C are effectively implemented.

He/she will participate in Germany leadership teams and other governance bodies to provide E&C focused input and leadership.

Who you'll work with
You'll join a team of 7 Ethics & Compliance Leads covering Europe.

You'll collaborate with global Ethics & Compliance (E&C) resources, partnering closely to address Germany's compliance needs and escalate local challenges.

You'll engage with business stakeholders, offering independent insights and guidance derived from E&C perspectives. Additionally, you'll work alongside the E&C Investigations Lead to investigate alleged violations and recommend resolutions. This role involves close coordination with external auditors and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.

What you'll do

Develop Compliance Strategies: Implement policies, programs, and procedures to ensure regulatory adherence.
Lead German Compliance Risk Management: Identify and manage UCB's compliance obligations in Germany.
Collaborate for

Global Solutions:
Engage with E&C global resources, scaling solutions and sharing best practices.

Advise Stakeholders: Offer independent insights and guidance based on E&C perspectives.
Conduct Training and Education: Deliver E&C training, create educational materials, and ensure policy awareness.
Support Audits and Investigations: Assist in audits, investigations, and corrective action planning for compliance assurance.

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills

Healthcare regulatory and/or consulting experience of at least 5 years
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
In depth understanding of key Germany business integrity topics
Perfectly fluent in both German and English
Hands on experience in operating compliance controls and understanding of industry best practices related to compliance controls
