Electrician (M/F/d) - UK/Shetland

Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated person to support in the position as an Electrician (f/m/d) in the UK.

This is a rare opportunity to be involved in building the capability to launch satellites into orbit form the UK.

You will be involved in the installation, commissioning and operation of systems at our Launch site on the Shetland Islands, with the opportunity to travel to our other sites across Europe should the need arise.

Your Tasks

Perform electrical wiring tasks on a variety of test rigs integrating a variety of sensors
Perform electrical installation and wiring of building facilities
Perform control cabinet and test system assembly and wiring
Perform electrical test system design work that primarily leverages off the shelf industrial components, especially typical DIN rail mounted control equipment, primarily with 24V systems
Perform light fabrication and machining using common hand and power tools
Review electrical drawings, make corrections when required

Your Qualifications

Valid electrical licence
2+ year work experience
Exposure to common sensors, transducers and actuators
Experience with test and troubleshooting equipment, e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
Experience with LabVIEW and National Instruments hardware is desirable
Practical, hands on experience with electrical or mechanical projects
Fluent oral and written English skills (all daytoday activities are performed in English)
Independent and structured way of working
Experience on UK construction sites is desirable
