Considering this, a new "Sustainability" department is set up within MC on January 1, 202- This unit is tasked with driving the sustainability agenda of MC, including not only the products we offer to our customer, but also our commitment to more sustainability in our own value chain, as expressed in the Siemens DEGREE Framework.

Your new area of responsibility - challenging and future-oriented.

As team leader within the unit DI MC SUS you will cooperate with different units and functions at MC and drive all activities that are needed to achieve our environmental sustainability goals. This includes the monitoring of ongoing measures, the identification of additional opportunities for more sustainable business, and the triggering of new measures to realize such opportunities.
In addition, you will work with our communications team and different corporate units to make MC's sustainability agenda transparent to internal and external stakeholders, including our customers, our employees and the general public. This includes key contributions to Siemens' annual sustainability report. For corporate initiatives in the domain of sustainability, you are the primary contact person. The same applies to ideas and proposals brought forward by our employees, who are explicitly encouraged to do so.
Where necessary, you will reinforce sustainability initiatives with resources from your own team. In particular, you will support the development of product lifecycle assessments for MC's product portfolio, and use the results to identify, prioritize and implement measures to improve the ecological performance of our products, for instance through dematerialization (robust ecodesign)

What you should bring with you:

You have successfully completed your studies with a Masters degree, preferably in a technical discipline (e. g. science or engineering)
You have genuine enthusiasm for sustainability, both in a company and in a private context.
You have not only sound knowledge about sustainability, you are also a role model in sustainable business.
You have sound knowhow in productrelated sustainability (robust ecodesign), as well as in PLMprocesses in which ecodesign needs to be implemented.
You have passion and experience in leading teams (either from project management or from a previous leadership role)
You have excellent command of the German and English language
