Summary

Hyatt Place at Frankfurt Airport opened in January 2018. The hotel has 312 rooms, an event area, a restaurant and a fitness area. All this is in the immediate vicinity of the airport with perfect S-Bahn connections.

We are looking for a
Director of Engineering with immediate effect or at a date to be agreed.

What you can expect:

You are the technical specialist who leads the engineering team in the successful execution and implementation of processes and projects
You will help ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and building codes and regulations
You will be jointly responsible for developing emergency plans and procedures to ensure the safety of guests and staff and be part of the team that oversees the daytoday implementation of those plans
You will contribute to the preparation of the budget for the technical department and ensure that repairs and maintenance work are carried out costeffectively
You support the planning and implementation of the maintenance program for the hotel
You are responsible for creating vacation and duty rosters as well as training, instructing and guiding employees and trainees
You are responsible for the condition of the building management system
Processing guest inquiries and dealing directly with complaints
Daily inspection rounds in the front and heartofhouse areas as well as in the technical centers are part of your tasks
Maintenance of technical systems and guest rooms
Carrying out all repairs that arise in the hotel
Ensuring effective cooperation with all relevant departments of the hotel as well as participation in meetings and conference calls is of utmost importance

Qualifications:

That's you:

You have completed training in a skilled trade (plumbing, heating, ventilation, TGA or facility management)
You have several years of professional experience in comparable positions in the hotel industry
You are flexible in terms of time and open to being on call
You work independently and are very qualityconscious
You count flexibility and commitment among your strengths
You are open to new things and bring your ideas into the daily work routine
You are flexible, resilient and keep a cool head even in stressful moments
You have a good command of German and English
