  • With its Corporate and Leveraged Finance (CLF) business line Crédit Agricole CIB is a leading international debt provider and ranks among the top players in the EMEA syndicated loan and bond league tables. Present in Europe (Paris, London, Frankfurt, Milan and Madrid), in the USA (New York City), and in Asia (Hong Kong and Sydney), CLF is in charge of originating, structuring and arranging debt financings for the bank's corporate and private equity clients. Transactions cover the entire rating space and range from refinancings to eventdriven situations (e.g. spinoffs, acquisitions). Through its rating and capital structure advisory franchise, CLF is also in charge of advising clients on all strategic financing matters from capital structure optimisation to formal rating advisory.

Director / Senior Originator Director CLF Corporates Germany & Austria (f/m/d)
The position entails responsibilities in Corporate Leveraged Finance with a focus on non-sponsored Corporate Loan Financings and the following key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Client coverage and screening of potential transactions
  • Discuss potential transactions with clients and generate business ideas for corporate clients
  • Liaise with other departments
  • Supervising the execution of Corporate Loan Financing transactions
  • Preparation of all internal credit documentation
  • Analysis of available information
  • Lead the negotiation of all the legal documentation
  • Execute transactions syndicated to market in conjunction with the distributed team
  • Supervising the followup closed transactions and portfolio monitoring
  • Maintain a fluent dialogue with existing clients and identify potential business opportunities
  • Monitor periodic financial information
  • Assist transversally in other transactions across CLF working in conjunction with other team members in Germany or abroad

Management and reporting

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate and Leveraged Finance Germany & Austria
  • Management and supervision by the different product heads across Corporate and Leverages Finance
  • Over time and depending on seniority: management of junior and intermediate CLF Germany team members with primary allocation to corporate loan transactions

  • Formation / Spécialisation
Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering
Experience of at least 9 years in banking or advisory

  • Strong background in structuring financing transactions
  • Experience in corporate lending, corporate aquisitions or leveraged finance structuring features
  • Experienced command of financial modeling
  • Advanced documentation skills
  • M&A experience and DCM/HYB knowledge desirable
  • Contacts at large and midcap German & Austrian corporates would be benifical
  • Niveau d'expérience minimum
  • 10 ans
  • Soft skills
  • Solid financial and analytical skills including accounting principles and international accounting standards as well as valuation principles
  • Deep knowledge of available debt instruments and their respective markets
  • Experienced skills for risk identification, credit analysis and mitigation alternatives
  • High degree of autonomy
  • Hard worker and team player with strong communication skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • High proficiency on Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Langues
Excellent language skills in German and English; further languages would be a plus
