Are you an experienced Senior Legal Counsel with a passion for Regulatory Law and Compliance? Deep Blue Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced German-qualified lawyer to join a Berlin-based Fintech.

As an integral part of the business, you will have the opportunity to optimize and shape the future of legal.

Tasks

Collaborate with the General Counsel to support the founding team in making strategic decisions. Provide legal advice and handle various international legal topics.
Prepare, revise, and review legal templates, sample documents, and compliance policies. Develop robust antimoney laundering policies. Engage in contract drafting and negotiations with key financial service providers and partners.
Act as the primary point of contact for external and internal stakeholders on compliance matters, leveraging your counseling abilities.
Conduct research and prepare for relevant payment licenses.
Support with product expansion from a legal perspective (lending, crypto, and more)

Requirements:

Minimum 23 years of professional experience in regulatory law and compliance.
Successful completion of the first and second German state examinations.
The ability to manage legal work in a multijurisdictional environment and effectively coordinate with external stakeholders.
Fluent in both English and German.
