International Program Lead (all genders)

In this role, you will provide the program strategy for the BTS Innovation, Architecture & Infrastructure (IAI) organization for global and regional initiatives covering international affiliates in EMEA & JAPAC.

You will be responsible for managing key deliveries as well as serving as the primary contact for IAI initiatives and overarching project strategies.


This means:

  • Serves as one of the primary contacts for BTS IAI initiatives covering international affiliates in EMEA & JAPAC, managing key deliveries through support partners as well as regional & global teams.
  • Supports key IAI operational processes including incident management, problem management, and service request management for all sites in alignment with global standards.
  • Works closely with International Program Manager in order to identify, define, negotiate, coordinate and tightly monitor services being delivered by Managed Service Partners (MSPs) i. e. HCL.
  • Works closely with IAI teams in JAPAC, EMEA and LC to deliver results for international customers.
  • Develops and cultivates a close relationship with leaders at sites, regional and global level to ensure the organization's solutions and their support meet critical business needs.
  • Interacts with 3rd party vendors i.e. HCL as well as local partners ensuring they fulfill the needs of the BTS IAI organization, in addition to participating in the associated RFPs.
  • Partner with BTOs across AbbVie (Commercial, AA, Manufacturing, IR) and BTS Security to ensure activities related to IAI initiatives at EMEA & JAPAC sites are aligned with BTS IAI leadership.
  • Understands and contributes to the BTS IAI organization's vision, goals and strategies. Aligns initiative priorities appropriately, determines critical success factors, evaluates and pursues initiatives, investments and opportunities based on fit with strategies.
  • Represents the BTS IAI organization to international stakeholders from across IAI, BTOs (e.g. BTS Commercial) and business customers, communicating the technology strategy and developing implementation patterns that are aligned with global guidelines.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with at least 8 years Information Technology experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, ideally in an FDA-regulated environment
  • Demonstrated excellence in complex technologies, enterprise project delivery and support, object infrastructure architecture, and translating concepts to outcomes
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders in the business and IT
  • Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding qualitative, as well as any relevant quantitative, targets goals, and positive cando attitude
  • Impeccable ethics, integrity, honesty
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Ownership attitude, sees issues, challenges, problems to fruition and keen to learn from them
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to manage in ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across a complex matrix organization and establish strong working relationships within BTS and business leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to transfer analysis, concepts and ideas into convincing communication
  • Competent in the use and demonstration of key Microsoft products and collaboration tools as well as Smartsheets
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • At least 3 years of business experience with additional years of experience within the EMEA/JAPAC region.
