Responsibilities:

You investigate the degradation behavior of commercial catalysts using the rotating disk electrode (RDE)
Furthermore, you optimize an accelerated degradation test protocol consisting of voltage cycles with the goal of reproducing the degradation trend obtained in the fuel cell measurements
You measure the metal dissolved during the voltage cycles using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) and Xray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF)
In addition to your literature and patent research, you will prepare the experimental design, subsequently perform evaluation and present your experimental results

Qualifications:

Furthermore, you already have laboratory experience in the field of chemistry with safe and responsible handling of hazardous substances
Ideally, you have already gained knowledge in the field of electrochemistry / fuel cells through lectures or internships
You are selfmotivated and can easily adapt to a selfreliant working style with a high level of commitment
Working in a team suits you and you like to participate in scientific discussions
Very good written and spoken German and English skills round off your profile
