Responsibilities:


  • You investigate the degradation behavior of commercial catalysts using the rotating disk electrode (RDE)
  • Furthermore, you optimize an accelerated degradation test protocol consisting of voltage cycles with the goal of reproducing the degradation trend obtained in the fuel cell measurements
  • You measure the metal dissolved during the voltage cycles using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) and Xray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF)
  • In addition to your literature and patent research, you will prepare the experimental design, subsequently perform evaluation and present your experimental results

Qualifications:


  • Furthermore, you already have laboratory experience in the field of chemistry with safe and responsible handling of hazardous substances
  • Ideally, you have already gained knowledge in the field of electrochemistry / fuel cells through lectures or internships
  • You are selfmotivated and can easily adapt to a selfreliant working style with a high level of commitment
  • Working in a team suits you and you like to participate in scientific discussions
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills round off your profile
