    This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative thinking team on exciting technology-driven assignments in a global context. From our office in Berlin or Hamburg, you will support our business in Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa with your tech colleagues on-site and at our headquarters. Responsibilities include collaboration in global infrastructure projects and supporting teams in delivering best-in-class infrastructure services.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Infrastructure responsibilities

    • Provide systems administration and maintenance in a virtual and physical environment both in the cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premise
    • Migrate physical and virtual server and storage infrastructure to cloud platforms
    • Collaboration on global tech infrastructure projects
    • Support of M&As like email migration, accounts configuration, and end-point deployment
    • Support the build-up of new locations or the relocation of existing offices in the region
    • Support the global network team configuring and installing solutions based on Cisco LAN/WAN, Palo Alto Firewalls/VPN, SilverPeak/Aruba SD-WAN, and Meraki WiFi
    • Perform maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
    • Quality assurance during the implementation and operation of cloud-based services, infrastructure systems, interfaces, and databases
    • Provision and operation of conferencing, collaboration, and media tech infrastructure
    • Lifecycle management of the tech infrastructure, licenses, and maintenance contracts
    • Virtualization of the server and storage infrastructure
    • Management of infrastructure and migration projects across all project phases
    • Independent identification of problem-solving requirements and development of solution approaches in the area of technical infrastructure
    • Analyze symptoms, diagnose faults, plan and take appropriate action on equipment, including server, storage, and networking

    Technical and user support responsibilities

    • Working with project managers as required to report on the progress of infrastructure projects, help identify issues, and define actions and remediation as necessary
    • Manage and maintain Google Workspace and Slack environments
    • Monitor network performance, ensuring system availability and reliability
    • Providing expertise and training when required for regional service desk teams
    • Manage root cause analysis of persistent problems in conjunction with global infrastructure teams
    • Contribute to the overall quality of service delivered to the regional affiliates
    • Dealing with hardware & software vendors
    • Supporting the Service Desk in the provision of high-performance end-user services, reliable onboarding and offboarding processes, and end-user technology
    • Maintain and support collaboration infrastructure, including video conferencing, AV, and digital signage technology
    • Support of the ITIL-based service operations management
    • Produce and maintain technical documentation to company standards

    Profile

    • A proactive technical approach to problem-solving
    • Experience with on-demand cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure
    • Hands-on network experience and understanding of Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, TCP/IP, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and routing protocols, VPN, WiFi, network security, data circuits, and application-specific protocols
    • Experience with the following technology or equivalent: Cisco, SilverPeak/Aruba, Meraki
    • Expertise in network systems solutions and analysis of network performance
    • Experience with centralized device monitoring and management tools
    • Hands-on experience in the deployment of Video Conferencing environments (Cisco WebEx, Zoom, Google Meet)
    • Scripting and automation experience
    • Ability to work with business and technical users to give technical advice and support
    • Ideally, you have experience in close cooperation with international teams
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in fluent German and English
    • Experience with Server administration (Windows, Linux) OnPrem and in the cloud (AWS, Azure)
    • Touchpoints with Google Workspace, ServiceNow, and/or ITIL
    • Provision of end-user clients (Jamf, Intune)
