Responsibilities & Activities

Industrial Project Management:

  • Defines the statement of work of manufacturing perimeter for the complete extended team based on the PO industrial and manufacturing work packages. The industrial project scope can be either full scope (industrial engineering and manufacturing) or manufacturing scope depending on the project setup and lead technical center organization.
  • Defines the manufacturing budget (hours, hourly rates, travel costs, etc.) based on the PO CES work packages, covering the cluster perimeter, plant, SILS, etc. according to project needs
  • Applies HSE, ergonomics and design for manufacturing standards in the means and plant process realization
  • Leads the Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and, according to the outputs, designs the means and processes
  • Gains buyin from metier experts before the team feasibility commitment
  • Schedules equipment runs for timely KPI convergence (cycle time, quality, scrap, people )
  • Budgets the CAPEX and its follow up
  • Prepares the end of phase review and launch readiness with all manufacturing metiers to get the buyin of the Program Manager, Launch Manager and Plant Technical Manager
  • Designs the industrial project scenario for all manufacturing processes, including physical and information flows related to IT topics
  • Applies the lean manufacturing principles defined in acquisition and carries out the right first time methodology to optimize the manufacturing process
  • Ensures that plant technical specifications are part of the equipment specifications
  • Aligns with the Industrial Manager if there is an PO project running in parallel to avoid any disturbance on both sides
  • Ensures convergence of project manufacturing targets (cycle time, number of operators, investments with plant KPIs and buyin of Plant CIP
  • Anticipates, identifies and leverages all internal or external perimeter changes leading to maximized profitability and gets the commitment of the Program Manager for implementation and visible P&L positive impact
  • Drives the analysis of manufacturing issues using the PO problem solving methodology and implements the best solutions
  • Drives the project closure on time and on budget
  • Makes sure best practices and lessons learned are formalized, shared, understood and deployed
People Management

  • Identifies and implements the cross functional synergies with core and extended team including production plant, customer and suppliers
  • Validates machine suppliers proposal for training and ensures that employees are trained before SOP
  • Creates accountability and continuous improvement mindset within his core and extended team
Networking

  • Drives the manufacturing network, internal and external
  • Drives the internal traceability system

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor with experience or Master degree
  • External : Manufacturing development and/or activities for Tier 1 Supplier in the automotive or railway industry by minimum three years
  • Internal : Plant assembly engineer or plant methods engineer
  • Able to make clear synthesis, organized, rigorous, good communication, project management skills; in line with Norms and as ISO and/or IRIS requirements awareness of customer specific and local regulations. Able to manage Cycle time and lean manufacturing
  • Team player, effective leadership, selfdetermined in approach to tasks, systematic and structured approach to activities, network maintenance and improvement
  • Fluent GERMAN knowledge in spoken and written
  • Good ENGLISH knowledge in spoken and written
  • FRENCH knowledge will be appreciated
