Tasks


JOB INTRO:

Offgrid is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Hotel Operations.

As the Head of Hotel Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth day-to-day operations.

This position requires excellent leadership skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING HERE?

  • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and security departments.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of all hotel departments, providing coaching and feedback to enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other senior management to develop strategies to improve guest satisfaction, profitability, and overall hotel performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Manage the budget for hotel operations, including labor costs, supplies, and equipment, while striving for cost efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards are met throughout the property.
  • Implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, ensuring high levels of guest service.
  • Foster a positive work culture by promoting teamwork, open communication, and recognition of employee achievements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative strategies.

Requirements:


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field. (preferred)
  • Proven experience in a senior management role within the hotel industry.
  • Certification in Hotel Management or relevant industry certification. (preferred)
  • Experience working in an offgrid or ecofriendly hotel environment.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Strong organizational and problemsolving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Indepth knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk procedures, housekeeping standards, food and beverage operations, maintenance protocols, and security measures.
  • Proficient in using hotel management software and MS Office suite.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understanding of sustainable practices and commitment to promoting ecofriendly initiatives.
