The position is located in Heidelberg and may require business trips to Berlin.


Job description:


  • Performing basic molecular and cellular biological experiments (e.g. gene/protein expression evaluation, cell/enzyme/proteinbased assays, WB and IHC analysis) as well as implementing new biological methods and technologies
  • Radiolabeling with alpha
- and beta-particle-emitting radionuclides, evaluation of coordination properties and radiation-induced physicochemical effects

  • Pursuing independently preclinical in vitro and in vivo experiments, inclusive cell culture and animal handling, inoculation, injection, dissection
  • Performing minor maintenance, calibration, and repairs on equipment and instrumentation, as well as coordinate outside vendors to perform major maintenance, calibration, and repairs
  • Being coresponsible for laboratory organization
  • Participating in group meetings and internal as well as external seminars

Requirements:


  • Successfully completed education to biological technical assistant or biological laboratory technician
  • Knowledge of safety precautions for handling chemicals and biological materials is required
  • Open personality with an eagerness to learn and work in a scientific teamenvironment
  • Ability to accurately gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Experience in good scientific practice (GSP)
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required
  • At least intermediate English and German language proficiencies in written and spoken form are required
  • Basic chemistry knowledge is of a significant advantage but not a prerequisite
  • Previous experience with radioactivity handling is of a significant advantage but not a prerequisite
  • Accredited course for animal handling is of a significant advantage but not a prerequisite
