Ideas Engineering is a section of Axel Springer National Media & Tech that focuses on developing innovative software for the media industry.
Behind our products hides a bunch of cool technology and that's why we're looking for a new colleague who, like us, is passionate about our early-stage products.
Our team develops and maintains multiple products for units within the Axel Springer group (Welt, Bild,...).Currently, the projects include a news app backend as well as a tool that enables editors to identify premium content.
Generally, our projects may come in all shapes and sizes. From a 1-week design sprint to the development of an enterprise software. These context switches make it exciting and will keep you on your toes. We are an open and empowered product team, consisting of a team lead with product expertise and full-stack engineers.Because we work project-based, we are looking for a PO to join our team that likes to validate ideas and convert them into great products.
Job Description:
experienced product owner in an interdisciplinary team who wants to build up and scale early-stage products
- you are the customer's advocate to the development team and turn customer needs into actionable user stories
- you are responsible for the product vision, backlog, and prioritization of user stories
- you attend the product related agile/scrum meetings to ensure that development work is aligned with the roadmap
- you coordinate and align with other development teams within Axel Springer departments in order to bring solutions to production
- you support the team lead in identifying new projects, writing project proposals, and creating business cases for new products.
- you present your products at internal or external events and conferences
Qualifications:
open-minded team player with a passion for building products
- you have a good command of English, knowledge of German is a plus
- you are well experienced in product development in an agile environment
- you have experience in managing stakeholders and prioritizing user stories based on user feedback
- you have excellent verbal and written communication skills - as a storyteller, you enjoy presenting your products to a wide range of stakeholders
- you are a strong communicator and networker with business understanding who can speak business and tech
- you have a tool kit full of agile methods to kick start new projects
- you are independent, able to work efficiently with little supervision and with a high degree of self-motivation
