Who will you be joining?


Located at Allianz's headquarters in Munich, the Global Sustainability (GS) team is the key driver of our Group-wide efforts to address societal challenges and opportunities as well as to integrate sustainable business practices into the Allianz Group's value creation.

We support Allianz' entities worldwide in the development of a consistent strategy and best-practice-exchange in the area of sustainable development and corporate citizenship.

You will be part of the GS team, which is responsible for the Corporate Citizenship (CC) strategy, our global community engagement programs, corporate volunteering and best-practice-exchange with the local CC leads network.

Throughout the internship, you will have a chance to lead projects, plan and execute events and create communication pieces for internal and external channels, interact with Non-Governmental Organizations around the world and work together with Allianz offices and Foundations on international level


How can you make an impact?

  • Assist the roll out of Global CC Strategy, tools & mechanism in Allianz entities worldwide
  • Support creation and execution of workshops, trainings, presentation to enhance knowledge and capacity of Allianz entities around the world
  • Assist building and managing global partnerships with NGOs, social entities, foundations
  • Codesign and support annual global data collection by assisting in improving data quality, analysis and reporting
  • Conduct research and analysis within the Social Impact field
  • Support the design of Social Impact measurement and reporting
  • Plan and lead employee volunteering/engagement activities in Munich offices
  • Support in communication of global and local programs of Allianz within internal channels and cross functions
  • Support with human rights risk and data analysis, as well as process documentation
  • Research and project management support for implementation of the German Supply Chain Act and further European law linked to human rights
  • Help with day to day tasks and operations

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a Masters or PhD student and residing in Germany during the full duration of the internship, and eligible to start as of 2nd May for 6 months.
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • German and other languages are a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with multimedia editing programs (Adobe Creative Suit, iMovie etc.) preferred
  • Prior experience in the field and/or NGO is a plus
  • Previous experience in business related functions (e.i. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
  • Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university or (for an internship) a gap year
  • Certificate of enrollment (exception gap year)
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and interest in the field of sustainable development, corporate responsibility and or/social innovation
  • A positive and "can do" attitude with a focus on quality execution and results
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders in a multicultural setting
  • Good project management skills (ability to manage multiple projects and processes efficiently and effectively, while considering areas for improvement and innovation)
  • Proactive and reliable team player who regularly demonstrates initiative
  • Strong communication and storytelling/creative writing capabilities
  • Prior experience in event management and/or managing employee volunteering activities are a plus
