The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Natural Scienes II, Institute of Chemistry, offers the

following position starting at the earliest opportunity and limited for three years.

Research Scientist (m-w-d)

The salary will be up to 100% Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L, if the personal requirements and tasks are fulfilled.


Tasks:


  • Collaboration in the network research project "Einfluss unterschiedlicher Metall-Legierungen auf Lang
- zeitstabilität und Degradation hierarchischer Lithiumbatterieanoden" ("Effect of different metal alloys on the

long-term stability and degragation of hierarchical lithium battery anodes") (EMELI-Bat)

  • Fabrication of oxidebased solid state electrolytes by InkJetprinting or spincoating
  • Performing of flashlamb sintering
  • Deposition of Sibased anodes
  • Comprehensive characterization of the samples for instance via transition and adhesion analysis, investiga
- tion of the electrolyte layers and of the interfaces cathode/electrolyte/anode via different physical and ana
- lytical methods

  • Project organization, Interpretation and documentation of the results and writing of publications

Requirements:


  • Ph.
D. degree in chemistry, physics or materials science

  • Experience in synthesis of complex oxides by softchemistry methods
  • Knowledge and practical skills thin film preparation techniques like spincoating or Ink-Jet printing
  • Sound knowledge and practical skills in physical characterization methods e.g. electrical and electrochemi
- cal measurements, SEM/EDX, x-ray diffraction

  • Fluency in English, good scientific communication skills and and interest in interdisciplinary cooperations
  • Knowledge of German is advantageous but not required
