In this senior role as Director (M/F/d) Project Management, you will be part of the team Technology & Innovation within Corporate Development.

We develop new businesses for the Fresenius Group.

Based on deep understanding of medical and other technologies and their respective business plans, we prioritize and pursue group-wide investments, paving the way for our entry into new markets and future growth areas - in cooperation with the group companies we support.

Technologies in focus may be from well-established areas with new use cases, as well as entirely novel ideas with large potential and disruptive trends.

By doing so, we are today shapeing the role that Fresenius will play in healthcare systems of the coming decades.

Your tasksCooperation with group companies and governance bodies to identify promising concepts for innovation at Fresenius

Development of business plans and creation of internal business concepts
External identification of technologies and sectors as well as the players/technology providers and potential investment targets, based on defined areas of interest for the Fresenius Group
Active contact management with relevant companies in the target sectors; assessment of their technologies, business models and management teams
Creation of a deal flow for future investments; due diligence for investment targets
Leadership of / participation in consulting projects around technology, industry and company analyses

Profile:

Advanced university degree in engineering or life sciences

University education in economics (MBA)
Experience as strategy consultant or senior roles in VC or PE
Proven financial acumen in the analysis and shaping of company performance levers and metrics
Experience in the creation, analysis and evaluation of technologies and business plans of companies in life sciences
Excellence in analytical and strategic thinking, as well as in communication and presentation skills, including the creation of the underlying presentation material
High degree of resilience and commitment; independent, self reliant and solution oriented work attitude
Business fluent in English (oral and written); German skills helpful
Project related willingness to travel
