What you will enjoy doing

When it comes to decarbonization and emission reduction, energy efficiency is key therefore, plant operators must know and track the energy consumption of their asset and constantly find improvement potentials
During your master thesis, you will focus on this need and develop a standardized approach to benchmark energy consumption of Linde built plants, compare this to stateoftheart as well as plant design parameters, identify drivers of deviation, and provide improvement recommendations
To scale up this approach, you will also develop a datadriven tool which quickly provides first conclusions based on standardized input
It will be key for you to understand how the specific product output of a plant impacts energy consumption, how this can be measured, and which components of a plant are key for the overall energy balance this also means that you will build up valuable knowledge for your career start in an industrial environment
To achieve all of that, you will rely on expert knowledge within Linde and also review previous ideas with regard to their suitability for the objective of conducting energy benchmarks

What makes you great

You are currently in your master studies of engineering, energy management, or a related field
In addition, you have an affinity for dealing with data and ideally also knowledge in the field of computer science and programming
You are highly motivated with great interest in product management, digitalization, and innovation coupled with a passion for engineering
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English combined with strong analytical and problemsolving skills is part of your profile
