Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

System Architect for Telecommunication Processing Equipment (d/f/m):

The successful applicant will join the Telecom & Navigation Processing Germany department which specializes in the development of Electronic Equipment for on-board telecommunication and navigation subsystems.

In this scope, the current project is related to a development of equipment for next generation payload processors.

The position requires deep technical knowhow, good communication skills and ability to manage engineering teams within development projects. Occasional travel to customers and suppliers is required and capability to work in an international environment is mandatory.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements
Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates
Provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements
Work closely sharing both industrial and functional design view, from the very early stages of the design through the serial production phase and up to the in

- service life of the product (whole product lifecycle), working in close collaboration between the Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and any other disciplines involved throughout the whole product lifecycle.

Steer an external WP developed by a Supplier & sub

- contractor from selection till final delivery.

Desired skills and qualifications:

You have a Master Degree in Engineering e.g. Telecommunication engineering, RF Engineering or similar studies
You have proven experience in specifying and leading the development of complex data processing systems in a form that is fit for the customer's purpose, and this is mandatory for this position. Most data processing systems, for example, comprise high speed digital and mixed signal hardware, ASIC/FPGA components, control software and test subsystems
You have Indepth understanding of signal processing, endtoend delays and performance analysis of data/signal links
You have a good understanding of software development processes and ability to manage lowlevel software suppliers
You have experience in technical risk management and proven record of timely resolution of technical issues
You speak English at a negotiation level.
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills and are able to work independently.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
