The opportunity and responsibilities
As our new VP Business Development, you will get the opportunity to develop and execute product-driven and segment-focused client acquisition strategy as well as identify and generate new business opportunities to fuel the growth of our business.
You will also work closely with internal cross-functional teams such as marketing, product, research, client training and services to drive engagement with prospects and close clients.
Other responsibilities include selling Rystad Energy's research offerings to companies/organizations within i) Energy companies ii) Transportation companies iii) Industrial companies.You will also engage with, present & pitch to prospective clients ("prospects") and on successfully bringing in new clients, you will be responsible for managing the client accounts to ensure renewal of services as well as growth through upselling/cross-selling of offerings.
Experience and Qualifications
- Specifically, experience selling business or market intelligence services within the Energy industry and/or the Financial Services or Energy Trading segments
- Solid network of relationships across Europe (specifically Germany) within the Energy industry and/or within the Financial Services or Energy Trading segments that can be leveraged for new business generation
- Ability to engage with individuals across all levels within target organizations, including Senior Management/C-Suite
- Experience in internal stakeholder management i.e. collaboration with crossfunctional teams internally to drive prospect/client engagement externally
- CRM Experience
