The competence center architecture in X5 is your professional home.

We are a team and a network of likeminded people who want to transform how we do architecture in automotive mobility.

We solve real problems for the teams. As X5, we create benchmark digital experience for mobility services in Volkswagen Group.

As SAFe System Architect, you are part of a team developing building blocks of our managing the connection between a user and her vehicle.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Shape and coordinate architecture (team)work in your release train (up to 10 development teams)
Analyse, consolidate and migrate services (Backend and Frontend) developed by brands into the CARIAD ecosystem
Connect to business, brand representatives, as well as product and development teams to understand their needs
Contribute to the product backlog and own the architectural backlog in the value stream leadership team
Use your expertise and your network into the architects' community to solve problems and enable teams
Regularly update the teams on the architectural runway
Develop proofs of concept

WHO YOU ARE:

Experienced lead software developer or architect intending to develop your career
Experience in developing, deploying and operating live backends with high availability (in particular Azure, IaaC, AKS, GitHub Actions, iOS, Android, React, AWS)
Capable to understand, design and document complex processes (e.g. using BPMN) and break them down into software
Able to ride the architects elevator: communicate with management as well as developers
Security / NIST standards knowledge optional
Experience to work in a dynamic and demanding environment
Good communication skills in English
