The tasks within the thesis will consist of:
- The
requirements analysis , as well as
basic technology and concept evaluation of different piezoelectric transducer concepts - The
simulation and design adaptations of the transducers **to optimize multiple target variables using innovative optimization techniques such as genetic algorithms, Particel Swarm or other Machine Learning algorithms - The
development of networksystem models for computationally efficient modeling of transducer behavior in acoustic systems - The
cooperation and communication with partners and funding agencies in the publicly funded EU research project "Listen2Future"
›who enjoys working in an industrial environment in combination with an Infineon partner university.
›who appreciates open communication and the contribution of an international environment.
- Graduated with a master or equivalent in
Electrical Engineering, Physics or a comparable field with a very good degree and
fulfill the admission requirements for a doctoral degree: - Are
experienced in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) modeling and technology integration as well as
relevant software tools such as Matlab, COMSOL, Python, Spice, ADS, MEMS+, Tensorflow etc. - Show
knowledge in acoustic components such as microphones and loudspeakers, or acoustic systems such as headphones and hearing aids - Are
interested and experienced in designing, building and programming electrical circuits and demonstrators: - Show a strong sense of
initiative and commitment: - Very good communication skills in
English ; German is a plus
