Kiron's software development team is responsible for developing and maintaining our digital product Kiron Campus, which serves the needs of our end users, partner organisations and clients.

Our ambition is to deliver a high-quality product to them.

We believe bugs are significant - when you find them We'd instead break our product and fix it before our users and clients do.

To achieve our goal,

we are searching for an ambitious quality assurance student assistant with a proactive work mentality to join our team and help us improve the quality of our products.

About the position:


As
Quality Assurance and First-Level Support Student Assistant,
you will be responsible for managing our quality assurance processes with regard to testing features, reporting and potentially fixing bugs.

You will also own stakeholder communication with regard to first-level IT support, helping our users and clients resolve any technical issues that may occur.


You will own / guide:


  • Humandriven manual testing
  • Exploratory testing
  • Visual regression testing and bug reporting
  • Managing client bug reports
  • Handling firstlevel support requests from clients and users

You will gain new skills and improve your knowledge in the areas of:

  • Quality Assurance
  • Stakeholder Management/Communication
  • Software Testing
  • UX
  • IT Support
  • Automated software testing with endtoendtests

Your daily responsibilities will include the following:

  • Cross-check functionality of new features with acceptance criteria and the definition of done.
  • Test functionality of new features
  • Report bugs
  • Manage and resolve client or user IT support requests and bug reports
  • Creating and maintaining documentation and tutorials on how to do it is on our knowledge management system.

About You:

You are currently enrolled as a student at a German university for a

minimum of 12 months (preferably longer)and can commit between

10 and 20 hours per week.


To succeed and grow in this position, you will likely be:


  • Proactive in improving test cases as well as the QA workflows.
-
Passionate for identifying problems and developing new and creative ways to break software and identify potential issues.

  • Able to
    manage and communicate with different types of stakeholders.

Hands-on, Tech-Savvy,
initiative and willingness to learn new things.

Excited about digital products, product design, and product management.

  • Extremely
    organised and meticulous with a friendly demeanour and open to feedback

Process and quality driven, with a keen eye and a focus on continuous optimisation.

Reliable team member and ready to take on ownership and responsibility

Fluent in English and German, both in writing and speaking


And will likely have:


  • Knowledge of QA processes and testing methodologies
  • Experience in test automation
  • Experience in software development and/or product development

Ideally, you might also have the following:

  • Some experience working with programming languages like Python or JavaScript etc.
  • Experience with UX/Product design
  • Experience using Jira
  • Knowledge of one of the common test frameworks, Software testing and DevOps
  • Knowledge of Agile & Scrum
  • Previous experience working in Quality Assurance
  • A technical background

Your compensation:

A transparent wage model provides the framework for salary decisions at Kiron. Student assistants are paid

12 Euros per hour, which would increase to

12.5 Euros after one year at Kiron.
