Intern/Working Student GEO/ Information Systems (GIS) (M/F/d)

Where your expertise is needed:

Prepare site evaluation and characterization reports through processing of available geospatial information layers and technical criteria, to define suitable areas for development of renewable energy projects
Search and implement geospatial data sets suitable for our consulting tasks: Digital Elevation/ Surface Models (DEM/DSM), land use, satellitederived resource data sets
Operate, improve and set up GISprocessing routines in QGIS through Python interface
Support the evaluation of meteorological and other sitespecific measurements
Maintenance of an HDFbased data base for timeseries and areal data sets
Literature and data research
Creation of meaningful presentation for internal and external stakeholders

What we're looking for:

Student preferably of geomatics or geography with specialization in GIS or comparable
Interest in remote sensing and quantitative evaluations
High level computer skills

- preferably under MacOS, but also in Linux or Windows

Experience in other GIS and CAD software tools (e.g., ArcGIS, AutoCAD Map 3D). Specific experience in QGIS would be an asset
Fun and interest in programming
Python would be an asset
Initiative and autonomy analytics and conceptual thinking, structured working
Very good knowledge of English
Experience in topics related to Geology, Hydrology, Limnology (water content) and/or Renewable energies like Hydro, Biomass, Solar and Wind energies will be an asset
