About the Role:

We are looking for a technician in the seam sealing lab to join our fabrics team in Putzbrunn who will support seam tape development and seam sealing needs.

This person will focus on the support and evaluation of sealability and seam sealing processes for EMEA specific products, equipment and test methods across our Fabrics businesses and various end uses.

This position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn, Munich.


Responsibilities:


  • Partner with local and global teams to understand the seam sealing needs across businesses and end uses, transfer seam sealing knowledge and implement best practices and new sealing technology
  • Support business & product development teams with timely and quality preparation of samples and evaluation of sealability
  • Provide data for validation of new products, verification and determination of seam sealing process windows & settings for EMEA specific products and equipment
  • Drive seam sealing related trouble shooting projects and communicate with APPE, PS and product support
  • Be the process owner for developing, writing, implementing, reviewing and improving procedures
  • Analyze data by using appropriate and relevant statistical methods

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
  • Prioritize and plan projects upon timelines and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage critical thinking to identify technical uncertainties and failure modes
  • Assess root causes and propose practical solutions/action plans to address these.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand interactions between process, equipment and materials
  • Basic understanding of statistics
  • Communicate technically complex topics in both English and German (written and verbal)
  • Interact and influence between crossfunctional teams
  • Ability to travel up to 5 %
