The European Legal Studies Institute is a leading research institute for research on the law of the European Union, the laws of its Member States and the interaction between the two levels.
With its excellent scientific infrastructure, in particular its renowned research library, the Institute is a focal point for scholars from all over Europe and beyond.
For more than 20 years, the working groups initiated by the Institute have elaborated important reference works on European law in a comparative perspective, which have attracted worldwide attention.
Your tasks
- Participation in the research project "Granular Society
- Granular Law? Individuality and normative models in the data society", which is funded by the Volkswagen Foundation under a Momentum Grant
- Research on legal issues of digitalization and the data society, ideally from a European or comparative law perspective, in the framework of the research project
- Publication of articles in law journals as part of the research project
Your profile
- Excellent German or equivalent foreign law school diplomas
- Doctorate
- Strong academic interest in legal issues of digitization, as well as comparative, interdisciplinary and theoretical issues in the Institute's research areas
- Very good command of English
