NCE>SBU NCE Service>WTG Engineering NCE
WTG Engineering NCE department consists of the Mechanical-, Electrical-, Civil-, Offshore
- and Blade Engineering team. We provide engineering support to the Service and Construction organisations in NCE and to the CIM function in VPS.

Our Engineers approve around CIRs (Component Inspection Reports) from the field and initiate around CIM cases per year. In close collaboration with the regional Customer Support Organisations we answer around technical questions of our customers per year.

The expertise covers the whole asset from the concrete of the foundation to the tip of the rotor blades of our WTGs (Vestas and Multibrand).


As Director WTG Engineering (f/m/d) your
Responsibilities are:


  • Coordinate Turbine Engineering department and staff
  • Optimize all technical aspects of wind turbine operations and commissioning to improve cost/MWh. This is across wind turbines, balance of plant and SCADA equipment
  • Identify and provide technical solutions to wind turbine operations and commissioning to increase service revenue in Fleet Optimization, Parts & Repair and new turbine contracts
  • Participate in the Service Operation Leadership for North and Central Europe and align with global stakeholders to set goals and strategy for the team
  • Own all technical issues arising with customers, including coordinating all Continuous Improvement Management cases, handle all issues arising through the commissioning process, improve wind turbine, blade and SCADA reliability, and sell and deliver innovative solutions to customers
  • Propel customer engagement by guiding the relationships with all of our customers' engineering teams, including directing the team in hosting regular calls and collecting and acting upon customers' evolving needs
  • Deliver world class engineering support to all Vestas Service customers. This relates to delivering quick, thorough and highquality solutions that align with customer expectations
  • Collaborate with global colleagues to establish processes for delivering world class engineering support, and provide product and solutions needs to the relevant research & development teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other related field or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
years of experience with demonstrated effective operational leadership associated, in the wind or power industry

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SAP and additional software programs)
  • Professional English communications skills (verbal, active listening, written, meeting management, presentation)
  • Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to meet business goals

Additional information
This role will report directly to the Senior Director Interim Service Operation NCE.

Your work location can be Hamburg or Berlin (Germany) OR Aarhus (Denmark).
