Research Assistant (f/m/d)

Neurodegeneration Assays

Full time and permanent


Your key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to development of neuronbased assays for hit identification as well as further translational assays for driving small molecule development towards the clinic
  • Perform small molecule screening and profiling in bespoke assays
  • Contribute to implementation of target validation methods and mode of action studies in cell lines and complex neural culture systems
  • Manage project demands ensuring quality and timely delivery of data
  • Plan, analyze and record experiments independently in electronic notebook

Your ideal qualifications:

  • MSc. or BSc. or "Laborant/in" or "Technische/r Assistent/in" in the Life Sciences
  • Work experience in neurodegeneration research, preferably in a Pharma, Biotech, or a CRO setting, would be a plus
  • Initial experience with primary and/ or stem cell derived neural cell culture and neural assay technologies for screening and profiling
  • Experience with immunoassays (e.g. TR-FRET, MSD, ELISA)
  • Ability to produce highquality data against challenging timelines
  • Committed personality with the ability to cope with pressure
  • Excellent team spirit and capability of working independently on trained cellular and biochemical assays
  • Good communication skills in English
