    Siegfried is a global life science company with a network of 12 sites across Europe, the USA, and Asia. Siegfried offers contract development and manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and drug products. Siegfried employs around 3,700 people and generated sales of 1.2 billion CHF in 2023.
    Purpose of Position

    Siegfried Drug Substances (DS) division includes six sites of our global network located in Switzerland (Zofingen and Evionnaz), Germany (Minden), France (St.

    Vulbas), U.S. (Pennsville) and China (Nantong).

    To support our Operational Excellence matrix organization, we are looking for our new Global OpEx Lead DS .

    In this global role, you are part of the Operational Excellence Drug Substances team, and you are responsible for driving operational excellence initiatives across the organization, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to optimize processes and reduce costs.

    The Role

    As Global OpEx Lead DS, you will report directly to our Multi-Site Head DS and your responsibilities will include:


    Strategy :
    Develop and execute a comprehensive operational excellence strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives

    Process Improvement :
    Lead cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in current processes and implement solutions to improve productivity as well as reduce costs

    Project Management :
    Lead and oversee OpEx projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation of solutions

    KPIs :
    Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational processes, track performance against targets, and implement corrective actions as needed

    Culture :
    Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the organization by fostering innovation, promoting best practices, and providing training and support to employees

    This role involves approx. 40% of business travels.

    You can be located in our HQ in Zofingen or in any other Drug Substances European Siegfried Site (Germany or France) .

    Your Profile

    Knowledge and experience

    ~ Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering
    ~ Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required, Master Black Belt is a plus
    ~7+ years' work experience leading operational excellence initiatives in a complex organizational environment
    ~ Experience within the API, chemical or pharmaceutical industries is required
    ~ Proven track record in project management
    ~ Fluent in English, spoken and written. Other languages (French, German) are a plus

    You possess cultural awareness and sensitivity and are able to network and communicate with top management across functions and countries
