At the same time value chains for low carbon hydrogen, i.e.

hydrogen derived from natural gas, are to be established.- As part of the Wintershall Dea Carbon Management & Hydrogen team you will focus on the commercialization of services along the CCS and hydrogen value chain and prepare and implement proposals for the commercial development of carbon management and hydrogen projects in UK and Germany.

- As a Commercial Expert for carbon management & hydrogen you can expect to:

  • Develop and build up demand clusters for CCS services and hydrogen.
  • Analyze, identify and make proposals for establishing carbon dioxide / hydrogen value chains taking suitable logistics concepts for transportation, handling, processing and storage of carbon dioxide / hydrogen into account.
  • Approach CO2 emitters / hydrogen customers to initiate a cooperation with Wintershall Dea for a CCS or hydrogen value chain
  • Conduct and/or participate in the negotiation with customers and service providers of the commercial framework and commercial contracts along the entire route from source to sink.
  • Contribute to business cases, risk assessments and agreements with customers, service providers and partners in proactive conjunction with the responsible local business development or asset team.
  • Contribute to the development of commercial models and standards as well as finessing and finetune offerings, making Wintershall Dea an attractive business partner for the energy transition.
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with customers and partners.

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Strong ownership mindset and proven experience in a commercial or business development role preferably in the oil & gas, logistics or chemical industry.
  • Proven track record in building trustbased relationships and negotiating mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Commitment to follow and promote company HSEQ policy
  • Mindset of thriving with details without losing sight of the big picture.
  • Strong analytical capability.
  • Knowledge of economic modeling for commercial evaluations of projects.
  • Solid understanding of CCS/H2 value chain principles, ideally enriched with some CCS and/or hydrogen experience.
  • Strong writing and communication skills (English and German) with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, creative and openminded to establish effective communication
  • A proactive mindset and excellent cooperation skills
