Your responsibilities and tasks:


GEA Heating & Refrigeration Technologies (HRT) is a global specialist in industrial refrigeration, heating and sustainable engineering solutions for a wide array of industries including, food, beverage, dairy and oil & gas.

  • Accountable for the Service performance of HRT division, driving operational KPIs, infrastructure and service offerings of Spare Parts and Repairs in alignment with the BUs
  • Responsible for the Management and governance of the Service operations management department and providing leadership and mentorship for the employees of the department
  • Develops and implements the strategy for global Service operations, complementary GEA Heating & Refrigeration Technologies Division strategy
  • Implements and steers Service operations in alignment with a crossDivision, crossBU and Regions & Countries teams
  • Assesses customer satisfaction and pain points of service units, partners as well as customers for HRT Services
  • Identifies needs and potential gains in global HRT service operations (footprint, structure, setup etc.)
  • Monitors service operations and performance based on clear KPIs for global service units including Regions & Countries, factories etc. and including productivity of Field Service Engineers (FSEs)
  • Derive measures to improve operational performance of the global service units and customer satisfaction
  • Leads Service Operations Management team including Process managers, Serviceability manager(s), repairs manager, spare parts manager, etc. and coach them towards success in their respective projects & initiatives (510 direct FTEs)
  • Leads implementation of service infrastructure initiatives like BluShop, FSM and Repair workshops
  • Accountable for reporting data accuracy service performance for HRT and ensures consistent Service reporting and insight in GM for different service products
  • Maintains the overall service operations strategy and initiatives roadmap for purpose of communication and alignment with all Divisional & R&C stakeholders
  • Owner of the HRT service operations steering with R&Cs and owner of the Processes & Applications Meeting (PAM)

Your profile and qualifications:


  • Masters Degree / Diploma Degree
  • Master of Business Administration degree is an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, prefferably in Industrial service business and 10 years of professional experience in total
  • Strong track record in operational performance improvements and managing global business operations
  • Demonstrated management and leadership experience in complex matrix organizations
  • Good knowledge of corporate governance and business planning tools & practices
  • Good understanding of refrigeration technology, its technology and applied components and services is an advantage
  • English (Fluent)
  • Knowledge of the German language is an advantage
  • Skills to develop/ to coach the direct as well indirect employees in leadership competencies to build up a motivated and performant/efficient team
  • Strong analytical skills and Problemsolving attitude
  • Ability to think and plan strategically
  • Strong change management skills
