What AFC will do for you

Details of the role and how it fits into the team


The role has been newly developed and is embedded into the central AFC Risk Type Controller function, in particular in the AFC Controls Oversight Office.

The role holder will be acting as a deputy of the AFC Control Oversight Office head and actively supporting the design and maintenance of the AFC Control Framework and day-to-day oversight and management of the Framework, operating in conjunction with other AFC teams, Business representatives and DCOs.


Your key responsibilities

  • Act a deputy head of AFC Control Oversight Office
  • Lead the execution of AFC Control Oversight and Quality Assurance.
  • Actively contribute in the execution and further develop design of AFC Controls Framework components such as AFC Minimum Control Standards and Controls Inventory,
  • Promote and support implementation of the framework across AFC and DB Business Divisions within a strategic Financial Crime project and establish a businessasusual process
  • Contribute to the AFC Risk Assessment by actively supporting in queries and discussion related to the AFC Control Environment.
  • Support production of adequate senior management and regulatory updates, briefings with regard to responsibilities mentioned

Your skills and experiences

  • Degree: minimum bachelor/ master's degree or comparable qualifications
  • Proven experience in a global Financial Crime, Compliance or Non-Financial Risk Function contributing to the implementation of new standards and control framework (minimum of 5 years' experience). Knowledge of DB's control framework and inventory is an absolute plus.
  • Good knowledge of financial crime legal / regulatory framework
  • Knowledge and practical experiences of DB product range and footprint is very beneficial
  • Very good analytical and stakeholder management skills
  • Selfstarter ability to work independently and to learn quickly
  • Fluent in English language (oral and written); Advanced German communication skills are very helpful
  • High proficiency in MS Office (mainly Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excel affinity is beneficial.
