The role
The Local Buyer EUROAPI is responsible for optimizing Indirect Purchasing for the production site in Frankfurt.


Responsibilities

  • Participation in the development of purchasing strategies and their implementation in close cooperation with the Head of Site Procurement
  • Monitoring the purchasing market, research and selection of new suppliers and new technologies, implementation of supplier evaluations, supplier benchmarking
  • Preparation and implementation of offers, negotiation of prices and conditions with suppliers and service providers
  • Negotiating and optimizing existing agreements with suppliers
  • Supplier / contract management
  • Preparation of the annual budget
  • Monitoring of KPIs, guarantee of local savings targets ("savings")
  • Participation in interdisciplinary projects
  • Compliance with the relevant requirements (e.g. purchasing policy, code of ethics, etc.)
  • If necessary, draw up, execute and implement contracts
  • Ensure outstanding purchasing costs: Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Market Knowledge, Risk Management, Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Compliance, Quality Assurance
  • Working with local and global purchasing colleagues to ensure a coordinated partnership with the company's business partners
  • Ensuring early involvement of purchasing and active participation in the budgeting estimation process as well as recommendations for project implementation models that offer a holistic view of advantages and disadvantages.
  • Define and execute the purchasing plan for your projects
  • Negotiating contracts and tracking their execution with suppliers
  • Responsibility for achieving the total cost savings and performance goals of your projects
  • Support of projects from tender to delivery and installation to ensure a high level of service in terms of quality, costs and deadlines
  • Find innovative approaches that use the supplier network to optimize project costs and create added value for the company
  • Ensure that there is the right level of business partnership with the project development teams and that the purchasing department is fully contributing to the strategic objectives
  • Ensuring operational excellence in purchasing (total operating costs, supplier relationship management, market analysis, risk management, innovation, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality,...)
  • Transversal work to help other EUROAPI locations

Requirements:


  • Master's degree in business / engineering or another relevant area with at least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial purchasing and / or project engineering
  • Knowledge of supplier management and the nature of the market, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Ability to manage internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ability to negotiate complex deals with suppliers
  • Strong focus on internal customers and their business focus
  • Excellent negotiating skills, confident behavior and assertiveness
  • Strong focus on results
  • Knowledge of total cost analysis ("total cost of ownership analysis")
  • Good business acumen and the ability to build sustainable business relationships
  • Good knowledge of financial and legal aspects
  • Ability to set priorities and organize them efficiently
  • Expertise in project management, communication and teamwork
  • Experience in Capex & Maintenance would be an advantage
  • Very high level of commitment and selfmotivation
  • Independent, selfreliant work
  • Good communication
  • Sound IT skills (MS Office & SAP)
  • Fluent in German and English
  • French would be an advantage
