Beschreibung
New technologies enable new working methods, and materials science is no exception. INM plans to integrate automated processes and AI to accelerate and enrich the materials discovery cycle.

We are establishing a position that will build and provide expertise on automated experimental workflows to lead our accelerated research core facility for combinatorial synthesis and/or high throughput testing.

This core facility will be equipped with liquid handling systems for materials synthesis (e.g., hydrogels, colloidal systems), molecular biology (e.g., recombinant DNA and protein synthesis), and materials characterization (e.g., optical transmission, nano-indentation).

Your tasks:
-
_Lead the INM Accelerated Research Core Facility_, operate and oversee the automated sample handling and analysis systems, including solid and liquid handling robots and analytical instruments.

  • Collaborate closely with INM research groups and support workflow automation and streamlining of laboratory processes.
  • Design and implement data handling and analysis workflows in collaboration with INM researchers integrating statistical analysis and artificial intelligence.
  • Stay updated and implement emerging automation technologies, research trends, and best practices in the facility.
Your profile - We seek an interdisciplinary researcher with:

  • Completed Ph.
D. in materials sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related topics.

  • Ideally, experience in combinatorial synthesis, highthroughput biology, or parallel and multiparametric materials characterization.
  • Experience in conducting projects related to workflow automation, including statistical experimental design and data analysis.
  • Experience in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
  • Handson experience with solid and liquid handling systems.
  • Proficiency in English.
What we offer - Conceptualize and direct a core facility with:

  • A TV-L 100% contract according to your qualification level. The contract will initially be limited to 2 years with the opportunity for a permanent contract based on transparent performance criteria.
  • A dynamic, interdisciplinary, and international research environment with excellent, stateoftheart infrastructure.
  • A cooperative environment, with plenty of opportunities to interact with other researchers, also outside the team and the institute.
  • The opportunity for training to support highquality research and to further develop your profile.
  • An environment with a flat hierarchy that welcomes participation and supports selfdriven development.
  • The Leibniz network stimulates creative and entrepreneurial personalities.
The INM practices an open and appreciative corporate culture in which the existing diversity is promoted and lived.

The institute is an equal opportunity employer with a certified family-friendly policy, and it provides offers for a better work-life balance, flextime, and mobile working.

We promote professional opportunities for women and strongly encourage them to apply. Full-time jobs can be generally divided. Severely disabled applicants with equal qualifications and aptitude will be given preferential consideration.
