Beschreibung

Automation technologies aim at the robotization of tasks that are otherwise performed by hands and are at the very heart of the development of future materials.

Thanks to a combination of robotization and of artificial intelligence algorithms, significant time investment due to trial-and-error investigations and errors brought by one-by-one hands-on production of hundreds of samples can be reduced and circumvent.

When several technical components requested for material production are combined into a single, automated facility, parameter optimization for both fundamental and applied research are made possible in a way that is virtually impossible by other more conventional means.

A key component of robotization is also the user friendliness of the facilities, i.e. the ease with which to set the relevant parameters for the process.

The project is linked to a wide variety of ongoing technology and advanced material processing and development that encompasses but are not limited to recyclable electronic, anti-reflective and anti-soiling coatings, e-têxtile, etc.

What you will do

Tasks of the project include programing of individual components composing our already existing robotized facility using established programming languages and interfaces based on individual projects requests.

A more global programing for synchronizing individual components (robot hand, plasma surface treatment, spray coating, mid
- and near-infrared heating, etc.) is also a central aspect of the project to make the potential of the robotized facility accessible to users.
