The Position:

BI X is Boehringer Ingelheim ́s (BI) digital lab. Together with the BI businesses, BI X is developing breakthrough digital solutions in healthcare - from ideation to pilot.

BI X is supporting BI in their quest to improve human and animal health with the freedom of a start-up and the power of one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies.

You will be part of the Ideation & Scouting team and be responsible for the innovative flow that fuels BI X.

This position is limited until October 31st, 2024.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Ensuring and executing a solid and transparent quality of idea proposals; developing an idea portfolio in close collaboration with stakeholders across all BI business Units
• Analyzing and identifying business impacts and innovation strengths of new ideas (e.g. developing rough ideas into convincing elevator pitches) with the potential to become high quality digital solutions following the lean startup model
• Preparing and initiating cooperations with external partners (e.g. with startups)
• Developing and condensing the initial problem, its solution and the value proposition into a prestructured and visually appealing presentation
• Steering and constantly improving the ideation and scouting process
• Supporting any kind of communication means with internal and external stakeholders (e.g.

creating video footage or podcast series)- Guiding and mentoring more junior and less experienced colleagues
Requirements:

• At least Bachelor ́s or master's degree in economics, design, computer science, or similar with proven experience in similar roles with profound experience in conducting Design Thinking workshops
• Several years' experiences in developing digital product & service concepts for development/ implementation in lean startup environment
• Profound understanding of Digital Business Transformation, Digital Business Strategies and Digital Business Models with a proven track record in the health care industry preferred
• Strong know-how in stakeholder management and in guiding internal and external partners (e.g.

Product Owner, Start-Ups)- Experience in how to communicate complex ideas and strategic topics, clearly and concisely to all stakeholders including senior management, allowing for better informed (strategic) decision-making- Strong interest to shape and work in a highly agile, dynamic and multicultural environment- Willingness to travel (~25 %)- English communication skills on a professional level
