You will be part of the Innovations team at Veridos and will be involved in research, design, implementation and testing of a bulk initialisation machine for smart cards, which is used to program smartcards for access control of major public events. We are looking for a motivated student that wants to gain practical experience in the full lifecycle of a product development.

Your responsibilities:

You will research existing mechanisms and machines for smartcard handling
You will design and build a bulk processing smartcard initialisation machine
You will present your plans and approach to your colleagues and document your work

Your profile:

You are currently pursuing studies in the field of mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering or similar
You have an excellent understanding of mechanical design with moving parts;
Knowledge of electrical motor control is a plus
You are interested in prototyping of parts using a 3D printer
Some programming knowledge (e.g. for motor controllers) is a plus
You have a keen interest in technology and are enthusiastic about technical contexts
You are able to communicate complex technical concepts and present results to audience with a variable technical background
You are able to document your work in a way that other people can use and further develop it
You are a selfmotivated person that loves working independently as part of a multicultural and crossdisciplinary team
Your English (written and spoken) is very good. Our team communicates in English
