As
Research
Scientist Molecular Biology, you will be part of an exciting international R&D and business environment, working with cutting edge technologies involved in a broad portfolio of diverse projects.

The role requires a strong background in Molecular Biology and gene technology. It includes the opportunity for development, and an attractive compensation package.


You will:

  • Join our team of highly dedicated and skilled experts inside the Molecular Biology discipline
  • Work embedded in projects for bacterial production platform development, continuous strain improvement and protein library screening
  • The work contains idea facilitating, planning and executing of experiments in the laboratories for bacterial production strain construction and evaluation including robotbased (Tecan Fluent) techniques
  • Document, report and present your experimental results (e.g. in Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Proactively contribute to troubleshooting, continuous improvement and method development
  • Be based in Darmstadt, Germany and interface with global R&D teams located in Germany and in Finland, as well as other disciplines (e.g., Application Development, Regulatory Affairs)

About You:


  • You ideally have a scientific education and degree (Bachelor or Master) or multiple years of working experience in Molecular Biology, or in adjacent sciences.
  • You have extensive handson skills in standard technologies in molecular biology, microbiology and cultivation of bacteria
  • Familiarity with sterile techniques and working in S1/S2 biological safety level laboratories
  • Experiences with bacterial production platforms especially _Bacillus_ and with highthroughput screening / automation is a Plus
  • A handson attitude and passion for delivering highquality results and problem solving, the continuous desire to learn and develop new skills, high diligence and reliability
  • You are a true team player and happy to step in and support your colleagues, especially in times of time pressure and changing priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, German is a plus
