About this thesis:
This thesis / internship focuses on the development of a user interface for a robotic system for lower limb mobilization in geriatric care.
However, with the number of healthcare professionals increasing at a much slower rate than the number of elderly and critically ill patients, the healthcare system does not possess sufficient capacities to provide the necessary interventions.
In order to counteract this shortage of healthcare professionals, Reactive Robotics has developed a robotics prototype aimed at providing robotic assistance for geriatric mobilization therapy.
The objective of this thesis / internship lies in the development of a user interface for this prototype.The work begins with a state-of-the-art review as well as the definition of the requirements for the envisioned user interface.
Afterwards, prototypical mock-ups of different design concepts will be developed.Finally, the most promising design concept will be implemented in the form of an app and tested in combination with the current version of the prototype.

How YOU will contribute
:
- Definition of system requirements for the envisioned user interface
- Development of multiple mockups of different design concepts
- Implementation of one of the concepts in the form of an app
- Comprehensive testing of the app with the current prototype
YOU:
- are a matriculated master student in Usability Engineering, IT, or similar
- are interested in combining your thesis with a prior 3-month internship
- possess experience in usability engineering and/or UX design
- possess practical experience in app development
- inspire by out of the box thinking, drive, and agility
- love teamwork, and have a true can-do attitude
- are fluent in German and English
