You'll be joining a growing team that currently includes 50+ people overall. This role is based in Berlin, Germany.

Most of our team is based in Berlin but we also have awesome teammates in Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, UK, and other countries.

About the role:

As the Tech Lead for the company, you will play a crucial role in scaling and leading our wallet tech team.

You'll be at the forefront of technical thought leadership for all aspects of our wallet technology.

Many high-value safes are managed via our company's wallet solution, providing you with the chance to contribute to a project actively utilized by teams and individuals overseeing digital assets of substantial value.

In your role as the tech lead, you will have a significant impact on shaping the future of our entire project.

What you will be doing:

• Ensure technical quality, scalability, and security of our company's wallet solution
• Closely collaborate with stakeholders and leads across product, engineering, design and QA on our company's wallet solution strategy and roadmap processes
• Provide indepth feedback on strategy, roadmap and other product topics.
• Add own ideas wherever suitable.
• Provide feedback on the "What?", Own/Drive the "How?"
• Own roadmap and product development process and coordinate with product team on new epics
• Lead and direct the wallet engineering team through technical challenges and performance goals
• Propose improvements to existing processes
• Drive system architectural decisions
• Coordinate with external partners on technical decisions
• People management of mobile, web and backend leads

What you will bring:

• Strong technical background in software engineering with progression to a strategic level (8+ years experience in various programming languages)
• Experience architecting scalable systems
• Can transition systems through the different life cycles (simple low throughput service to complex highly scalable system)
• Experience leading an engineering team within a startup or bigger organization

- inc. mentoring responsibilities, interviewing for team growth and OKR outlining

• Ability to build systems on scale using AWS/infrastructure/devops
• Experience leading a software product development process
• Leadership experience in CI/CD across multiple teams

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Solidity, EVM, EIPs, blockchain projects and smart contract concepts

Our tech stack:

• Smart contracts: Written in Solidity
• Backend services: Written in TypeScript and Python, hosted at AWS, orchestrated via Kubernetes
• Web app: Modern web tech stack with and
• Mobile apps: Currently Kotlin and Swift, potentially ReactNative or similar in the future
• Extensive test suites: E2E via Cypress, Postman, Unit tests in TypeScript/Jest
