Duties:


The incumbent is a trainee level procurement agent with the responsibility of providing timely and accurate procurement under the supervision of the Acquisition Branch Chief.

This position supports all agencies at post plus in excess of 180 other posts worldwide.

Perform pre-award through post-award functions for all types of simplified acquisitions, which include the procurement of, household appliances, medical-related articles and equipment (e.g., vaccines and pharmaceuticals, surgical equipment, and laboratory equipment to satisfy life-threatening needs; information technology (IT) equipment; food services; office supplies and equipment; furniture; automatic data processing (ADP) equipment and reproduction equipment; building and construction materials; automotive vehicles and parts; power supply systems and parts; sanitary equipment and water treatment supplies; packing materials; gardening tools and supplies; gas and heating oil; audio visual products; subscriptions and publications; coffins and body bags; and other supplies as required.


Qualifications and Evaluations:


  • Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years in working in a business environment, including clerical or other administrative work is required.

  • Education Requirements:


Two (2) years of post-secondary education with coursework in one or more of the following fields: business management, accounting, public administration, or law; or successful completion of an apprenticeship (at least two-year (2) duration) in one of the following fields: business management, acquisitions, accounting, public administration or law is required.

LANGUAGE:

English:
(fluent) in speaking/reading/writing is required.

This may be tested.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Computer skills including word processing, Excel spreadsheets, math skills and writing skills are required.
