The Role & The Team

The Production team is responsible for the execution of all projects that run through the Seer Technology Access Center (STAC) service lab that range from small proof-of-principle studies through multi-thousand sample cohort studies.

Responsibilities & Goals

Areas of specific responsibility will include:

Hands-on running of Seer Proteograph Product suite for delivering proteomic data to customers including sample preparation through operation of automated liquid handler and characterization of the resulting peptides.
Preparing peptide solutions for mass spectrometry analysis including drydown.
Documenting production runs and data entry into company LIMS system.
Receipt confirmation, accessioning and storage of customer biological samples.
Processing of biological samples including sample dilution, protein concentration measurements, cell and tissue lysis and protein extractions.
Running daily and weekly instrument maintenance routines.
Updating and/or authoring Operating Procedures and other control documentation.
Support laboratory maintenance, including ordering and restocking supplies, and ensure cleanliness and compliance with facility rules.

Background & Qualifications

Key requirements include:

BS or MS degree in biological science.
Familiarity with lab equipment and instrumentation including automation, spectrophotometers, Speedvacs, centrifuges, etc.
Experience with molecular biology techniques (i.e. Protein/peptide sample prep and separation and characterization).
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Experience operating Hamilton / Tecan liquid handlers a plus.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team setting, while meeting scheduled deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
