What You Can Expect

Over the course of two years, you'll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your teams and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy.

You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand.

From day one, you will work on meaningful projects with three individually designed assignments, including one eight-months assignment abroad (Covid permitting).

You will be assigned a mentor and will shadow a role or position to support you in reaching your individual career goals and network with peers and business leaders.

We are part of the Grid Technology Organization of Siemens Energy, developing best-fit-solutions in Energy Storage for our global customers.

Our multicultural team of engineers and experts from various industries, are forming new solutions and offers for Battery Energy Storage (battery, power conversion system (PCS), and controls) systems.

With our Siemens Energy-wide collaboration, we combine various sustainable solutions to increase our customer satisfaction.

You will work in an exciting environment, help your team in creating solutions and contribute significantly to the energy transition.

How You'll Make an Impact

As part of our Graduate Program, you are on the Siemens Energy team. You'll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and will work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.
In your role, you will support defining, initiating, and advocating Battery Energy Storage System use cases in the context of hybridization, transformation of energy systems and infrastructure, based on a clear understanding of the market, the revenue streams and if necessary, adoption of rules and regulations.
You will work on definitions of requirements, specifications, and test procedures for procurement of the main components.
You will support developing layouts, designs and integration of the individual components of a battery storage system whilst ensuring compatibility, i.e., battery system, PCS and control system.
You will help creating OPEX and CAPEXoptimized storage solutions in terms of quality, cost, and technical suitability.

What You Bring

Handson mentality combined with a pragmatic, selforganized working style and excellent communications skills within an intercultural environment
Significant practical work experience up to 36 months including knowledge from internships, working student activities or employment
A master's degree, doctoral degree, or equivalent in electrical engineering, physics, electrochemistry, mathematics, power electronics, automation, controls, or a similar field
Minimum of 3 months of international experience gained through studying or working
Excellent English skills to work in a multicultural environment and be flexible and mobile during the program
