European Air Transport Leipzig GmbH (EAT) is a subsidiary of DHL Group. It is an aircraft maintenance company as well as a cargo airline. The fleet of EAT Leipzig consists of 36 aircraft, including Airbus A300-600, A and Boeing 757. At present, destinations in Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East are approached. The company currently employs approximately 1200 staff at its bases at Leipzig/Halle airport and in Brussels.


YOUR TASKS:


The Flight Operations Control Senior Professional reports to the Manager FOC - Crew care & FOC Support and is first point of contact for all catering issues as well as for the administration of the Crew Sleeping facilities for own and third party Flight Crews.

He / She supports the FOC Team on a 24/7 basis taking care of alle delegated administrational tasks.

  • Coordinate crew HOTAC & Travel requirements (managing & booking of Hotel rooms, Transport & Commercial Flights) when Travel Office is closed/regular interface with Travel department
  • Take and hand over rental cars ordered for pickup or dropof at EAT
  • Support all FOC teams (CSD/DSP) in general administration tasks such as preparing flight utensils (flight envelopes, bug cards, reporting forms etc.) for EAT & other airlines
  • Checking status if flight plans are submitted in Aviobook and if not, contacting crews / providing catering Overview for next 24 hours in Aviobook
  • Handling of Jumpseat Tickets (checking priorities, availability, communication with associated departments EUNCC/CSD) including generating new profiles in the Jumpseat tool
  • Facilitate allaround contact between crews and other departments such as Flight operations, Flight Crew Training, HR or HSE (IPads, Uniform fittings, Headsets, important documents, medical travel kits, high visibility vests etc
  • Additional duties and responsibilities are part of the individual procedures and/or may be assigned by the Manager FOC

Catering:

  • Determine Catering entitlements with checking Flight Crew Rosters according FDP in AIMS
  • Decision making about size of catering according rotations/stations and length of ground time
  • Administration of and communication to all catering supplier
  • Evaluation of surveys & feedback regarding new or actual catering Suppliers / decision making about catering suppliers for new stations or change of suppliers
  • Daily Catering Orders for scheduled, Charter-Out flights & adhoc flights for EAT B757/A300 & A330 fleet as well as supporting DHK/DHA & ASL with ad hoc orders
  • Processing & tracking crew reports and complaints followed by outcomeoriented actions
Crew Sleeping Facilities- Monitor crew entitlement/capacity of Crew Sleeping facilities

  • Administration of all Check In and Outs via a room booking software
  • Handing out Crew Sleeping badges, activate the access for dedicated single rooms/replacement orders in case they won't be returned
  • First point of contact for all Crew Sleeping facility issues regarding optimization/coordination & complaints or necessary room changes
  • Coordinating cleaning of rooms/bunks after check out of crew members
***YOUR PROFILE

  • Completed apprenticeship as foreign language corresponded, field of aviation, hotel industry or other
  • Several years of working experience (preferable in DHL aviation environment
  • Experience of operating in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent English and German skills (spoken / written)
  • Computer literateproficient in the use of MS Office preferred AIMS/Netline Ops
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform in a team
  • Ability to communicate with people under stress
  • Knowledge and understanding of airline operations and DHL transport business
  • Excellent organizational skills and accurate working style
