We are a Berlin-based FoodTech startup with the mission to accelerate the transition from animal to plant protein.

We believe in a world where food makes humans thrive and hence our goal is to create the healthiest plant-based dairy products - without compromising on taste and sustainability.

After years of R&D, we launched our first product line in January 2020 and were overwhelmed with the success of our milk alternative based on pea protein.

Today, we've sold over 5 million liters of milk alternatives, and partnered with companies such as Tetra Pak, SIG, and the Fraunhofer Institute.

Along the way, we've submitted patents, won research grants, and taken the first steps in creating a world-class product team.

To level up our sensory science function and to know what our consumers are drawn to, we need You

Your mission as a Working Student in Sensory & Consumer Testing (f/m/d) will be to support our sensory panel & consumer testing team

Aufgaben

With your passion for sensory science, you will support our sensory panel leaders with the logistics of running sensory trials


This includes:

  • Setting up and clearing the sensory lab prior to and post sensory panel sessions and preparation of samples
  • Setting up tests in Compusense together with the panel leader
  • Purchasing and organizing further equipment for the sensory panel sessions
  • Taking care of the panelists. Scheduling and communication, organizing events, and eventually recruiting and screening new panelists
  • Implementation of sensory panel trials (e.g. descriptive analysis, shelflife testing) and internal tastings (screening and training of staff)
Support consumer testing by conducting hands-on consumer research in the field with our product prototypes


This includes:

  • Help to set up and manage regular consumer testings that are happening infield and with our online producttester community
  • Setting up tests and questionnaires together with the consumer testing manager
  • Support in communication, mailings, and sendouts for our online product tester community to maximize engagement and response rates
  • Support the consumer testing manager in analyzing and evaluating the collected data for handson development decision making

Furthermore:


  • Ensure a foodsafe working area and full responsibility for sensory working space and sensory lab.
  • You are reliable and really keen to tackle things in an ambitious startup at all levels.
Qualifikation

  • You are a student in Food Science, Nutritional Science, or similar and will have this status for at least 1 more year.
  • You are proactive and have a rather outgoing personality. This shall help you in getting people involved in our consumer testing and talking to panelists.
  • You like to be organized. Maybe you're even a bit of a perfectionist, who has high attention to detail.
  • You have an excellent understanding of working in a foodsafe environment and have ideally first working experience in Sensory Science
  • Your German is at least at C1, ideally native. Your English is good.
  • You are ideally an omnivore, at least vegetarian, without allergies and food intolerances.
  • You are available for 1520h per week as well as for working in 12 evenings per week to support our panel sessions
  • Beneficial: You will need a "Gesundsheitszeugnis", but we can support you here. If you have one already, great
