You can join our Finance Operation management team to head our Accounts Receivable business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Heading the Accounts Receivable department with ca. 180 FTE reporting to you. Together with your management team you are responsible AR operations for P&P, Express and Freight for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Your management team consists of your deputy and 3 line managers who are responsible for day to day operations. In total you take care of almost 25 bn. receivables
  • Motivating and Coaching of your teams
  • Responsible for delivering excellent daytoday performance; in other words, achieve all KPI targets (e.g. Hitrate, Unapplied payments, DSO, Aging >60/>90, DQO, TAT, ACR, GOS), ensure high quality, be key contact for Senior Management, resolve Management/ Top Customer escalations and ensure costeffective operations
  • Further development of Accounts Receivable in close alignment with CFOs and SSC management by process
- and KPI analysis, conceptual development of improvements, alignment with pre
- and post-processes (e.g. Billing, Inhouse Banking, Query Handling, business colleagues) and implementation

  • Steering of digitalization projects like implementation of Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing or Robotics Process Automation to increase quality, speed and efficiency of processes
  • Ensure professional project management and senior management support by transparent prioritization of ideas, outlining of project progress, discussion of issues/ solutions on detailed level, creation of result analysis, preparing and delivering presentations to international audiences (e.g. steering committees, Senior Management)
  • Steering of external service providers (e.g. for legal collection)
  • Ensure a professional Stakeholder Management for various groups e.g. Business CFO's, DPDHL Senior Management, DPDHL IT service provider, workers council

You like to start something new, to dive into new technologies and connect them with existing IT infrastructures and business processes.

You love to exceed the expectations of our customers by being proactive, detail-oriented and solving their problems.


Besides that, you should bring:

  • Bachelor/ Master degree in Business, Economics, Law, IT or similar academic studies
  • Some years of work experience in either Accounting, Finance, project management, consulting or process optimization area and thereof 35 years experience in a project
- or line management role with personnel responsibility

  • Detailed OtC process knowledge (e.g. Collections, Clearing, Cash Application, Query Handling and touch points to other accounting areas like Billing, AP, GL)
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office
  • Enthusiastic to test and implement new technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Machine learning, Robotics Process Automation, SAP HANA, etc.
  • Welldeveloped leadership style with good communication skills and experience to persuade business colleagues/ top customers in critical situations
  • Emphatic team player caring about the needs of your team
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle several topics in a wellstructured way in parallel
  • High reliability, commitment, proactivity and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent knowledge of English and German
