Your tasks

  • Coordination and implementation of the CRAVE project and other research projects in the field of battery and fuel cell safety
  • Analysis of loads in the event of a crash and definition of structural requirements and design of safety requirements and definition of safety concepts for risk minimization
  • Research and validation of safety mechanisms to reduce the fire and explosion risk of BEV and FEV involved in accidents and development, testing and validation of adaptive safety systems and methods to improve the deformation behavior of battery systems
  • Publications in scientific journals, participation in international scientific meetings and workshops and financial and strategic project controlling
  • A doctoral project is welcomed and supported.

Profile:


  • Master's degree in engineering or natural sciences or comparable
  • Ideally, initial experience in energy storage and fire testing, crash testing or another area of passive vehicle safety and in the fire department, THW or similar organizations
  • Initial experience in the field of vehicle design, experience in working with CAD systems and basic programming knowledge in e.g. Matlab, Labview or similar
  • Ability to work in a team, commitment, communication skills, independent and resultoriented work as well as willingness to learn
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory, fluent in written and spoken German is an advantage.
