Head of Miniplant/Process Development Laboratory (M/F/d)

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and optimize assigned chemical processes for the production of new and established agrochemicals with regard to costs, quality, process safety and sustainability
Drive the strategic orientation of the Miniplant as center of expertise for scaleup, new technologies and sustainability. Further drive implementation of PAT technologies and integration of the function within the digital roadmap
Transfer new processes to pilot plant in multi purpose plant and handover to AI manufacturing plants
Provide chemical expertise, consultancy and develop quick solutions in troubleshooting for manufacturing plants
Lead interdisciplinary technical project teams during the development phase
Lead a team of several lab technicians incl. training and development
Ensure compliance with external and internal rules and regulations

WHO YOU ARE

PhD in organic chemistry, natural product synthesis or comparable scientific education
PostDoc and experience in scaleup and improvement of chemical manufacturing processes are an advantage
Strong collaboration mindset, combined with a personality of continuously embracing our culture traits, creating trust and a collaboration mindset across the organization
Emphasis on leadership skills, ability to lead technical teams, and to understand crossfunctional dependencies
High assertiveness and service orientation combined with the ability to guide and develop employees
High ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex tasks
Ability to effectively challenge the status quo and underlying assumptions to discover new innovations, and the ability to turn ideas into results
Fluent English and German skills both spoken and written
