The Department Purchasing and Materials Logistics is looking for


Buyer (f/m/d) Technical Commodity Groups and Services
Your Tasks

  • You will review and evaluate incoming requirements via our electronic procurement platform in accordance with procurement law requirements and business management criteria and coordinate them.
  • You will be the contact person for our inhouse scientists and technicians, advising and supporting them in the correct preparation of specifications and justifications for award procedures in accordance with procurement law.
  • You will prepare and independently conduct award procedures for individual awards mainly negotiated awards) and framework contracts in accordance with the applicable procurement regulations and below the EU threshold value within the framework of the UVgO (German Regulation on the Award of Public Contracts) (request for proposal and bid processing). This also includes preparing and conducting negotiation meetings.
  • You are responsible for creating and adjusting purchase orders and contract commitments in SAP-R/3 as well as for their commercial processing from order placement to invoice clarification.
  • You will monitor demand, sales, and markets relevant to your product groups (nationally and internationally, for example through Internet research, trade literature, trade fair visits, participation in product groupspecific working groups) and prepare market analyses and evaluations to derive economically sensible product portfolios for inclusion in our Ariba catalogue system as well as to identify and prepare product groupspecific framework agreements.
  • You will regularly participate in team and project meetings.
Your Profile

  • Completed commercial vocational training or comparable qualification (e.g., completed studies in business administration)
  • Experience in the procurement, support, and responsibility of technical product groups as well as a very good technical comprehension ability
  • Independent and targetoriented working style with very good negotiation and communication skills
  • Very good command of the German and English language as well as very good verbal and written expression skills
  • Good knowledge of general contract law (BGB, HGB)
  • Desirable: knowledge and experience of German public procurement law, in particular the UVgO
  • Experience with ITsupported procurement platforms and, or Good SAP-R/3 knowledge
